Working Principle
The working principle of a pot bearing is to utilize the elastic rubber blocks inside the semi-closed steel pot, which exhibit fluid properties under three-directional force, to achieve rotation of the upper structure; simultaneously, it relies on the low friction coefficient between the polytetrafluoroethylene plate on the intermediate steel plate and the stainless steel plate on the upper seat plate to achieve horizontal displacement of the upper structure. Experimental data shows that the compressive elastic modulus of rubber under three-way constraint is 5x10kg/cn', nearly 20 times greater than that without lateral constraint, thus greatly improving the bearing capacity of the bearing and solving the limitations of the bearing capacity of ordinary rubber bearings. Therefore, the pot bearing is a new type of product that can meet the requirements of large bearing reaction force, large horizontal displacement, and large rotation angle.
